Women Preach

"While participation is voluntary, it is an opportunity to celebrate one of the distinctive features of The Salvation Army as a church: women in leadership and pastoral roles." by David Reardon

As part of National Women’s Month, The Salvation Army’s four US territories are participating in Women Preach Sunday, an initiative to have as many female Salvation Army officers as possible preaching on March 2, 2025. Women Preach Sunday started as an initiative in 2023 in the Western Territory (where the Alaska division stood out with women preaching at every corps). This year, the other territories are joining in. While participation is voluntary, it is an opportunity to celebrate one of the distinctive features of The Salvation Army as a church: women in leadership and pastoral roles.
